We meet every Wednesday night...

Winter Time

During the winter (Sept - April), our weekly session is held at Yearsley Baths from 8.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. 1st session is 8pm - 8.45pm / 2nd session is 8.45pm - 9.30pm. Get there at least 15 minutes before the session but beware places sometimes book up very quickly and we are not allowed into the building until 7.45pm. We charge £4.00 for non-members £3.00 for members. Bring a swimming costume and towel.

Summer Time

During the summer (May - Sept), we meet at our boathouse on the River Ouse from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. We charge £3 for non-members, members paddle for free. Bring warm clothing/wetsuit, wind/waterproof jacket and old shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Also, bring a full change clothes for afterwards!

Our boathouse is found just off Almery Terrace in the centre of York. Parking is not available at the boathouse and the nearest public car park is on Marygate. From Marygate car park you can walk down the side of the river to the front door of the boathouse. Please do not park in the restricted areas at the back of the boathouse, you are likely to get a ticket and at best you will upset our neighbours.

Afterwards

After sessions either in the pool or the river members of York Canoe Club may often be found in the Bay Horse on Marygate.
