Club trips are organised throughout the year for all levels of paddler, and are classed as “open to all”, “intermediate” and “advanced”.
The club runs regular trips throughout the year and depending on your level it is possible to get out most weekends. Paddler safety is a priority and courses are organised to help you progress your paddling.
Our local runs are the Tees, Wharfe, Ure and Swale. Weekend trips take us further afield to North Wales, the Lake District and Scotland. Members have paddled all over the world, the most recent club trips being to the Slovenian Alps and the Spannish Pyrenees.
Out of season we are regulars at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham, Teesside, the Tryweryn and the Washburn and we have the pick of some of the finest surf beaches in the Northeast.
Most of our paddling is White Water, but the Club owns open boats, white water racers and we have even been known to dabble in spot of sea kayaking.
Please note safety is a priority and attendance of club trips is dependent on members having the necessary experience and equipment for the particular trip. Trip organisers or river leads will advise as appropriate.
